UK Youth Cycle Challenge 2nd August 2010 at the Silverstone Circuit Northamptonshire

 
The challenge is part of the 'Positive about Youth' Campaign supported by HRH The Princess Royal. A series of youth cycling events taking place across the UK end on 2nd August 2010 at Silverstone in Northamptonshire. The challenge day looks to bring together young people and campaign supporters for a celebration of cycling and motor racing on the F1 circuit.
 
Cost, £3 to get on the track with under 16's free. Entertainment is also free.
 

Days schedule of events:

16:00 – Enjoy a picnic around the Brooklands area of the circuit. A number of activities and displays will be available from both motorsport and professional cycling.
 
17:00 – Nigel, Magnus Backstedt, Tour de France racer and the Peloton arrive.
 
17:00 - 17:15 – Nigel and Magnus will be available for autographs and to speak to.
 
17:15 - 17:30 – Nigel to hand out certificates to local young people.
 

17:30 – Join Nigel and Magnus on the Silverstone start finish straight.

17:35 – Roseanne Mansell to officiate the Silverstone lights start.

 
The track will be open for cycling between 17:35 and 19:00.
