Northamptonshire Strategic Employment Land Assessment

Northamptonshire Enterprise Ltd (NEL) in conjunction with the planning authorities in Northamptonshire is carrying out a Strategic Employment Land Assessment (SELA) study across Northamptonshire. The purpose of the SELA study is to provide a single employment land review for Northamptonshire, widely used by partners and informing a range of policies and projects for the economic and spatial development of the County and importantly informing the evidence base for Core Spatial Strategies in the county.

As part of this a Request for Sites is being undertaken, allowing interested parties who may have interests primarily in bringing employment land forward for development in the County to put forward their sites for consideration within the SELA process. The call for sites runs until the 27th February 2009. Full details are available at www.northamptonshireobservatory.org.uk/projects/projectdetail.asp?projectid=116

As part of the SELA a workshop will be held at the Kettering Conference Centre on the 9th February 2009. This will allow stakeholders to have an input into the development of the SELA policy position on issues such as job number growth for the county and strategic sites policy.  For further information on the SELA or to register for the workshop please contact:
