Inaugural meeting of the Telford Way Industrial Estate group
The 21st October saw the inaugural meeting of the Telford Way Industrial Estate group. Over 15 representatives from companies based on the estate attended the meeting held at Snap On Tools. The feedback from those present at the first meeting was that it was a great success and would prove to be very useful.
This first meeting was facilitated by Invest Northamptonshire, a division of Northamptonshire Enterprise Ltd, and the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce. The formulation of this new group builds on the success of similar schemes based on other industrial estates in the county, such as Brackmills and the Moulton Park Employers Group, both of which hace proved beneficial for their members.
The purpose of the group is to allow companies from the Telford Way Industrial Estate in Kettering to get together to discuss common issues, share best practice and network with one another. The next meeting will be held in early December.
Topics discussed at the first meeting included:
Car parking issues / safety issues on the estate
General concerns about the estate
Sharing of information / facilities
Charlotte Patrick, Investor Development Manager for Northamptonshire Enterprise Ltd, commented:
"We are delighted with the outcome and achievements of the groups we have facilitated so far, feedback has highlighted the substantial and measureable benefits and we look forward to similar successes for the companies and employees of the Telford Way Industrial Estate with the creation of this new group."
The feedback has highlighted the importance of networking opportunities between companies and sharing best practice as well as looking to solve common issues for the members of the group and the staff of, and visitors to, the industrial estate.
The next meeting will be held in early December - for more information on this estate group and others, please contact Charlotte Patrick on 01604 609393, charlotte.patrick@northamptonshireenterprise.ltd.uk
