Rushton Hall receives top accolade

Rushton Hall Hotel & Spa has won a top industry award for meeting venues  from the prestigious hotel guides Condé Nast Johanses.

Winner of the 'Most Excellent Hotel Meeting Venue' for UK and Ireland 2009, the judges were impressed by the mix of technology with stunning interiors.

Rushton Hall Hotel & Spa, in Rushton, Northamptonshire, was bought in 2003 by Valerie and Tom Hazleton. They set about a painstaking restoration of the beautiful Grade I listed Elizabethan hotel, which originates from 1438.

As well as being a successful hotel and spa, Rushton Hall offers impressive meeting and conference facilities.

Delegates can enjoy a choice of many majestic rooms, adorned with fine woodwork, stone carvings and vaulted ceilings.

Space is offered for 20-50 people, with WiFi Broadband, and there are also 44 en suite bedrooms. A newly opened Stableyard Spa helped the hotel to further establish its position in the awards.

Valerie Hazleton, co-owner, said: "It's been a huge team effort to bring Rushton Hall to were it is today, and this prestigious award recognises the achievement."

Over 100 hotels entered into the category, with the three finalists attending the glittering ceremony in London during November,

Condé Nast Johanses said: "The meeting rooms at this Grade I Elizabethan country house spoil delegates with both modern technology and beautiful ornate interiors, ideal for any corporate or private event.

"Guests continually comment on the warm and welcoming atmosphere of this venue and the eye for detail in the service it delivers."

The awards are made annually to hotels worldwide that represent the finest standards and value for money in luxury and independent accommodation.

Rushton Hall's win was based on responses from guest nomination forms, guest survey reports, and regional inspector reports drawn from the hotels featured in the guides.
