Ambassadors help shape the future of the University

The University currently has 10,000 students and 1,200 staff and has invested £150m over the last decade delivering a £70m turnover in 2007/2008.  The indirect economic impact on the county is £158m, for every £1 million the University grows, another £2 million is generated in the economy.

It is the only University in the county and provides a unique resource to Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas, not only through the learning and skills development on offer to individuals and employees, but also from the highly skilled graduate workforce, bespoke consultancy and research capacity.  By 2010, it will be a student facing learner centred institution, regionally engaged and nationally acknowledged.

The University is currently developing plans for the next phase of major development from 2010 and has enlisted the Ambassadors to help steer the direction in meeting future needs for economic, social and cultural development looking at growth, changing markets and in conjunction with regional, national and international involvement.
