Northamptonshire Enterprise Ltd Let the Conkering Continue!

The village green at Ashton in Northamptonshire again played host to the World Conker Championships last weekend, along with an unexpected dose of sunshine. Approximately 4,500 spectators arrived at the traditional Northamptonshire hamlet to watch the games commence between competitors totalling nearly 500 from a grand total of 19 different countries.

As part of an ongoing campaign to promote the events, festivals and attractions of the county, Northamptonshire Enterprise Limited announced the launch of hteir new online game Conkerquest last week and the conkering competition is hotting up already.
